"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a great Italian meal."
— Joe & Vito Liparoto
For brothers Vito and Joe Liparoto, life began in the foothills of Borgetto, a small town nestled on the Mediterranean coast of Sicily. In a home filled with the aromas of Mama Pina's cooking, food was more than a meal — it was famiglia e passione (family and passion).
Mama Pina's kitchen was always open, where everyone was welcomed to her table, and every dish was made with love, simplicity, and care. These values followed the Liparoto family when they emigrated to America in 1969, bringing with them the flavor and spirit of Sicily.
Years later, Vito and Joe opened their first pizzeria, and what started as a humble dream has grown into Leonardo's Italian Grille — a restaurant that continues to honor their Sicilian roots.
