History

For owners Vito and Joe Liparoto, growing up in the foothills of Borgetto, a small town on the Mediterranean Coast of Sicily meant “… famiglia e’ passione” for Mama Pina’s cooking. Born in Sicily along with their six brothers and sisters, Mama Pina’s simple everyday food brought a gentle, caring meal that everyone came to expect and where Mama Pina boasted, “everyone was welcomed to her table”. In 1969 the family emigrated from Sicily to America and brought with them Mama’s sense of freshness. Years later the brothers opened their first pizzeria.

Since their origins as a pizzeria and today as Leonardo’s Italian Grille, Vito and Joe have captured the essence of Sicilian authenticity with the new cuisines inspired by Chef David Neal. Only the freshest ingredients with lean cuts of meat are used daily. Leonardo’s brings you simple food that has a sense of loving care with their menu of antipastos, soups, salads and fresh pasta dishes, as well as its ample variety of exceptional fish, poultry, veal and beef entrees. Award winning wines from national and international vineyards will bring discriminating palettes to our selection of domestic and foreign labels.

Our commitment to hospitality is second to none as you will always notice Joe and Vito’s sense of family and commitment to your dining experience. Leonardo’s is worth your trip, whether your destination is a world adventure or just a local drive for a good meal. Enjoy lunch or dinner or else just relax with a flavorful cappuccino at the spacious bar with friends and family.

“A JOURNEY OF A THOUSAND MILES BEGINS WITH A GREAT ITALIAN MEAL!”
